Goa Trip

One evening, around 3 weeks back, while just meeting & chatting with school friends after long time, suddenly Santosh came up with idea like, "Lets go to Goa". I immediately said, Lets Go. Even Ravi, who was sitting right opposite to me, agreed. We fixed the date in next 5 mins by confirming with Chaitanya over phone as he was in Bangalore. Another friend Aakash also got ready. Totally 5 guys were just like that ready for Goa trip in 5 mins. This is how the idea of Goa trip was conceived.

I & Chaitanya left Friday 8th of August night from Bangalore and reached Dharwad on Saturday morning by 8AM. We both freshened up and Santosh came to pick us up. We then went to Ravi's home, had a light breafkast and went to pick up the last guy, Akash. He took some time to get ready and by the time we left dharwad to Goa, it was almost 11AM and sun was almost getting on the top of our head.

Only I had the driving license while Santosh knew driving but no DL. We both were in-experienced drivers but dared to take the car till Goa, that too in the Ghat section, rainy whether & might have to drive without sunlight. What a daring!!! Somehow we both managed to drive carefully to visit Goa and return back safely. Now we both are no more in-experienced drivers.

While on the way to Goa, we encountered a small mini water falls on the Ghat section and was a perfect break from long drive. We got down and took few of the best pics, especially for DPs.

We almost spent 20mins near this water fall and then 2KMs ahead, there was a temple just at the beginning of Ghat section. We got down there also and prayed for safe driving over curvy roads and continued our journey towards Goa.

Btw, i forgot to mention that this was my first time visit to Goa. Yes, thats true. Every other person had already visited and mine was first time.

Although the journey in car was a long one, but we really had fun listening to songs, and those crazy whatsapp forward funny audio's, talking our heart out about all those school days and other funny moments. Around 6PM, finally we reached GOA !!! Finally, i was in Goa for the first time :)

We searched for a guest house nearby to Calangute beach and without much effort, got a really well maintained guest house sufficiently big for 5 people. We spent some time to freshen-up after a really long drive and planned for a memorable night and trust me it was really memorable but not exactly the way you think it is;) Read on...

The plan was to spend the mid night on the beach and roam around and etc etc, you know what. So everyone decided to drop down there wallets & mobile inside room as we can roam freely. We took some X amount sufficient for dinner & party for all 5 of us and only my mobile as its iPhone which can capture good pics and battery lasts long. [Product placement for promotion ;)]

God, what a view of Goa. The people around there, pubs, bars, loud music, that climate and although its 12 in midnight but feels like just 8PM atmosphere over there is way too cool and makes me never leave the place. The Girls with all those dresses and those boys with full of muscles and foreigners roaming and partying hard is the best thing to watch on Calangute beach road. It was totally amazing. I can't explain how uber cool that Saturday Night in Goa was !

Anyways, coming to our story, we had some dinner and this-that and came over onto the shores of coean & spent a large amount of time talking the "un-talked" stuffs  which we wear hearing for first time. It was totally fun and surely memorable. Even if i close my eyes now, i can feel that experience of lying on the sand on the ocean shore at mid night 1AM and looking up at the sky with all the stars twinkling meanwhile ocean waves whispering the cool breeze making me to forget all the lively worries and just calmly hear my own heart beat. Mesmerizing.

Then we came back to guest house around 2AM and suddenly one of the person got an idea to go and spend some time in Baga beach in this oddly time. Nobody was sleepy and somehow agreed to visit for an hour and return back by 3AM. I drove the car in midnight to Baga beach (around 3KMs) from our place. We parked the car near Baga Beach and while locking the car, i broke the key !!!! OMG !!! Key broke and now we can't lock the car and leave there & neither we can start the car. DEADLOCK.

Its freaking 2:30AM in the morning and we are clueless on what to do next! That was the moment which we 5 will never forget (whenever Goa crosses our mind). This was the memorable thing i was talking earlier. Without having any option, although booked a nice big guest house, we spent our night in that car. YES, we 5 adjusted & tried to sleep inside that small car. Just imagine.

We were out of that X money which we had bought. Luckily, Chaitanya, the savior, had bought his wallet along with him (surprise) and somehow we managed to have breakfast & made a duplicate key of the car. It was Sunday morning and the key maker delayed to open his shop till 11AM. Our plan was to leave by 2PM so as to reach Dharwad by 9:30PM as we had Bangalore bus to catch at 10PM. Now it was already 11PM when we got back our car with its duplicate keys.

We spent an hour inside Baga beach. I and Akash didn't enter the water, but the other 3 enjoyed in water. It was already 12 in the noon and we came back to guest house (which was of no use to us). We took quick bath and left from Goa at around 2:30PM as per the plan.
Thats GOOD BYE to Goa

While returning back, i drove the Ghat section and later Santosh drove till the end and we reached almost 9:40PM to Dharwad. I and Chaitanya had booked 10'O clock Bus to Bangalore. Just right on time we managed to reach. We quickly had a dinner byte near KCD and left to Bangalore.

Over an all, although it was a short duration of time in Goa, it was totally memorable and we did have a great time. I can truly say, Goa trip was really FUN. It was a break which was needed from the hectic life for relaxation and this trip served its purpose. Goa, I miss you and want to see you soon :)
